Barrier Fabric Comparison
There are several choices of barrier fabrics for diaper making -- here is a quick comparison:

ProCare: A technical fabric that is designed and manufactured specifically for high duty cycle barrier protection.   ProCare Barrier is used when you require a wipe able surface and for DSQ diapers,(if you make and sell diapers that must meet institutional or children's sleepwear specifications.)

PUL:  (Polyurethane Laminate in the diaper making trade, Polyurethane Leather in garment trade).  PULs are laminated fabrics are used as medium duty barrier fabrics in medical, clothing and diaper making markets.  They are popular with homemakers sewing medium duty diapers and covers.

PULs are made by heat/pressure fusing polyurethane sheeting to a fabric.  Durability is good.  Quality can vary considerably from supplier to supplier.  If you like PUL, we suggest staying with Polyester interlock to polyurethane laminates.

What makes Wazoodle PULs different?

  • Manufactured using consistent quality knits, films and adhesives.
  • Engineered to make sure film, knit substrate and bonding are perfectly matched for durable solution for the diaper making market.
