Cotton Flannel - CPSIA & Flammability Certificates


Cotton Flannels & Heavy Cotton Flannels meets the requirements of:

  • CPSIA sections 101, 108 and 16 CFR Part 1303.
  • Flammability for Class 1 textiles per 16 CFR Part 1610 under the Flammable Fabrics Act.


These flannels are not manufactured with any raw materials or fibers that contain lead and therefore will comply with the lead limits established in Section 101(a) (2) of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008.


CPSIA Section 108 (phthalates) does not apply to this fabric. However, we also provide assurance that our fabrics are not manufactured with any raw materials that contain any of the regulated phthalates.


These flannels were tested and passed the test requirements for Class 1 textiles per 16 CFR Part 1610 Standard for Flammability of Clothing Textiles. Class 1 textiles exhibit normal flammability and are acceptable for use in clothing and apparel.

US Grown Cotton

Although the yarn is not certified organic as that is an expensive process, the flannels are made from US grown cotton with no experimental strains, monitored and sanctioned by the USDA.


These fabrics are manufactured in modern facilities following strict health, safety, and environmental protocols (EPA, OSHA, etc.) to ensure minimal impact on the environment, safe handling of chemicals, air quality and noise level controls.
